Remembering Spencer’s Legacy

Nobody Better” is a phrase that has come to represent Spencer’s legacy among family and friends, encapsulating for us the many endearing dimensions of Spencer’s personality, generous nature and positive impacts he made on everyone around him. The phrase started with our good friend Pete Laake. When Pete played golf with partners, he would often motivate them by saying “You got this. Nobody Better” right before they hit a big putt or important shot. Spencer played a lot of golf with Pete, and eventually made the phrase his own, on and off the golf course to inspire golf students, friends and family members.

We have now adopted the phrase to describe Spencer, as to us there is truly “nobody better,” whether we are referring to his unfailing kindness, dedication to the game of golf, or any of the many beautiful memories of him that we cherish.
